 Does AWSA assist in any transactions or issues between its members and their customers?

In no way is AWSA a regulatory or monitoring agency.  We have no authority to receive complaints or mediate disputes.  AWSA will not interfere in any member's  policies or operations.  Every member of AWSA has an established history of product quality and customer service, as well as a continuing commitment to sound business practices.

 


Does AWSA provide any evaluations or endorsements of individual members?

AWSA will not respond to any requests for opinions on any industry source - whether it be a member or otherwise.  Membership in itself may be an endorsement to some degree.  Those who are not members are either not qualified, or have chosen not to accept the invitation for their own reasons.  With their permission, we will be glad to identify any entities who have been invited to join AWSA, whether they accepted or not.

 

 It doesn't appear that AWSA does a whole lot - what's the point?

As with any oragnization, the dynamics are expected to be continuously evolving.  AWSA was created to provide a medium through which members could identify and address mutual concerns toward the primary objective of enhancing consumer experience.  Heretofore, the wine storage industry was one of the few  that offered no such forum.
